This PDF is sized to be printed on 11" x 17" paper (A3 paper) and is painted with a Size 4 Mack Series 169. The letters are approximately 1.75" (4.445 cm) high, making this a great practice chart if you're looking to hone in your brush control at a smaller scale.
 
To practice, you can tape up your chart and cover it with tracing paper, painting over the strokes and painting your own. You can also place the chart behind a piece of glass and practice that way, wiping or scraping the glass clean when you are done.
 
For paint, I recommend practicing with water-based paints such as Blick Premium Tempera or Ronan Aquacote.
